Howdy, Jim The Conor Fox home was practically in sight of my folks home on Stinson Ridge. Of course your would be looking across the Middle Creek valley. I don't remember Mr. Fox other than the name and perhaps I may have delivered groceries to the home when I worked for Jewell Ridge Coal Commissary. Conor had an uncle, I think it was named William Leonard Fox. This man hired out to my father, supporting the farm since all the Burke children other than I were married and gone. William L. came to us from the Tazewell area and lived with us for perhaps five years. I don't remember just when he left other that I think my oldest brother, Ira may have hired him away from Dad (which wasn't difficult as the money to pay him was getting scarce) and moved him to Bland County. I don't think he stayed there very long. William L. had a daughter that lived in the camp at Jewell Ridge. I don't remember her name. William's wife had deceased before he came to live with us. Could he be the person you are looking for?
