Tina, Thank you for your response. Looks like this is the wrong William Bowling. Since he and Lavina's children were born after 1810, they would have been too young to be my Harrison Boling. He had to have been born prior to 1810. According to the 1840 census, he was between 30-40 at that time. Well, I only have word of mouth that Harrison's father's name was William. The 1840 census also tells me he was born in NC, but the border was so close...who knows. I appreciate your time. This is the only one of my ancestors that wasn't in Tazewell County - there simply has to be a connection somewhere. Thanks again!
