    3. Hi listers, If you know anything about the West Virginia Genealogy Connection, please respond. I received the below letter in the mail yesterday and was concerned enough about it legitimacy that I thought I should post. If it is real, I apologize, but I've never seen anything so poorly written or full of typos from a Genealogy service. I'm afraid it is a scam either to get the dues money or to acquire a bunch of mother's maiden names for ID purposes. The letter as you can see, did not contain any contact names or phone numbers, or even an address other than a PO box. Va, 25541 Hello, I am West Virginia Geneology Connection. I collect and store genealogical information, Family history information & Stories and Photos. This information is collected from all over the United States. I help people find information on their family Trees. I research for free! There is a 25 cent charge for each page of information copied. This is just to off set our cost of printing. I am a non- profit business. I only ask that you send only one question at a time and a self-addressed stamped envelope for your reply. I am funded by donations and memberships. Membership is $15.00 per year for one person or $20.00 per year per family. Members get our News Letter "Family Heritage & Geneology" which is printed 4 times a year. Quires published in the news letter Free. Any story about a family member that you would like to share (I reserve the right to edit) Published free in the news letter as space allows. (example: One of are members had an ancestor who was discovered with his pants down by a famous genneral. But you will have to read our first issue to be published in January 2000 to find out more about this. Thou I have spent several years getting my data base set up and information collected (Collection is a on going process) January 2000 will be the first News letter that I print.
