May I please weigh in on this issue, too. I have the 1995 second edition of the Delorme "Virginia Atlas & Gazetteer." Also, I know the area. It is 2 1/2 miles between Pounding Mill and Claypool Hill. Claypool Hill is about 13 miles from the town of Tazewell. And Tazewell is 18 miles from Bluefield. Incidentally, the above mentioned Atlas is an invaluable resource... especially in the car.
