I tried to post once and think I deleted it by mistake. Sorry if this is the 2nd posting. I'll have my Aunt record all the stones when she goes down in August. There are a lot of Yosts and a handful of my Ayer's ancestors buried there. I'll post the information on the Tazewell site when I get it. Carol Ramey wrote: > Thank you Jennifer! I'll have my Aunt make a record of all the tombstones when she goes in August. It is a small cemetery with about maybe 50-60 Ayers & Yosts. Mostly Yosts are there. I don't know why they are in the same cemetery. They could have lived adjacent to each other. I'll post on the Tazewell site when she sends them to me. In the book Some Old Cemeteries of Tazewell Co. page 11, The Harvey Cemetery, it shows only one Trigg: Elijah Trigg, husband of Deborah Trigg b. Mar 9 1831 d. Betty, There wouldn't happen to be any info in the book regarding James Brown who died in 1814 or his wife Esther who died abt. 1830. Both lived in Tazewell County -----Original Message----- From: Betty Moutray [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Monday, May 15, 2000 7:30 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [VATAZEWE] Claypool Family Cemetery Diane, I bought the book from the Tazewell Co. Historical Society. It is really a good book. Lists 160 old cemeteries. I don't remember how much it costs but you could check with them. I know it was reasonable. Claypool Hill Cemetery - It says that there was a number of unmarked sunken graves and several fieldstones. Here are the ones you requsted: There wasn't a Maggie E. Williams listed. 1. Hurst Scott Marker: (This must be the funeral home) Deborah K. Richardson 1950-1950 2. Hurst Scott Marker: Jerry Neal Richardson 1951- 1951 3. Carter's Chapel Marker: Samuel P. Richardson 1919- 1944 4. Carter's Chapel Marker: Audrey L. Richardson 1924 -1944 5. Charlie Williams 1904- 1936 Hope this helps, Betty -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] <[email protected]> To: [email protected] <[email protected]> Date: Monday, May 15, 2000 6:47 AM Subject: Re: [VATAZEWE] Claypool Family Cemetery >Hi Betty, > >I'm looking for the graves of several people. >Maggie E.
