My family research has led me to Edmund Whitmore (b.1794,VA) and his son Claudius Wesley Whitmore (b.1833,Surry Co., VA). Any additional information on these ancestors would be greatly appreciated. I am also searching for more information on the following surnames: Epps, Atkinson, Warren, Coker, and Seward. The counties of Surry and Sussex are my focus. I'm starting to wonder if I need to look in Prince George County for my Whitmore line as there were many Whitmores in that area. I live in Iowa, so my research options are somewhat limited.
