When Martin died, Grace married for a second time to William Lucas, and did produce another whole family, among whom was a Grace Lucas. I do not have any data on her in my genealogical program. I do know that her sister, Elizabeth Lucas was married to a Henry Briggs, Jr., son of Henry Briggs, Sr. and Mary Flood. I am not sure how Mary fits into the Flood family, but I suspect that it was through the Creed family. Marmaduke Beckwith, father of Grace Beckwith, was married to Maudlin Creed, daughter of Raphael and Grace Creed. Maudlin's sister, Mary, was wife to John Flood of Surry County, VA. This is perhaps the Flood connection of the younger Mary Flood who married Henry Briggs, Sr. The interesting thing about the Creed daughters is that I descend from Maudlin Creed Beckwith; my wife descends from Mary Creed Flood. Mary Flood was the daughter of Col. John Flood and his first wife Margaret_____ ( widow of William Finch). Col. John later married Fortune Jordan. Mary was married four times: 1. Richard Blunt; 2. Charles Ford; 3. John Washington; and 4. Henry Briggs Sr, m. abt 1661. Henry JR was born 1662. Mary died abt 1678-81. Henry had remarried by July 5, 1681 to Margery Gilliam, widow of John Gilliam.
