Hello My name is Sarah and I am looking for any information that I can get on my grandmother. Her name is Ardilla Thomas Long. She was called Dealie all her life. She was born in Surry County, I don't know if she was born in Surry county in North Carolina or Virginia. I was told she was born at the top of a mountain in 1899 in Surry county. Her father was named William Frank Thomas and her mother was Littie Cook Thomas. I live at the coast in North Carolina so it is hard to do research. She married Manuel H. Long is July 1920. She was 21 years old. Manuel was from Surry county, NC. Any help or information would be great.
