Ms. Corley, I do not have any information on the family mentioned in your posting, however... My maternal grandfather's eldest brother, Alexander H.* MUNFORD married a WRENN- Ethel, of Dendron. Dendron is situated on VA Hwy. 31 in Surry Co., near the Blackwater Swamp. * "Alec" was born Alexander Harcumporsche MUNFORD (24 Sep 1889, Southampton Co., VA), but later changed his middle name to Henry. [His maternal grandfather Henry RAIFORD surrendered with Lee at Appomattox.] He worked for the Virginian R.R. [which ran from Norfolk to Bluefield], and relocated to Victoria, VA. He was a brakeman on the train that struck & killed his father, Moody A. MUNFORD Sr., 31 Nov 1937, near Burdette, Southampton Co. Alec has passed away, but I'm uncertain of the date. I have no dates or further information on his wife Ethel WRENN. I don't know that there is a connection but thought I'd take a chance. I'd appreciate any information you could share.
