    3. Brenda, have you checked the tithables for Surry for the years between 1660 and 1700? Those were published in "Magazine of Virginia Genealogy" in the late 1980s, which fine periodical is widely available. I also surely would check the published index to the "Virginia Genealogist", it too available in myriad libraries.
