Hello George and all, I have a John Mason who married my ancestress, Priscilla Wells/Wills, in Granville County, NC 26 July 1792. I am aware of, and a descendant of many families who migrated down from Surry County into the border counties of northern North Carolina, but I have not been able to locate any kinsmen of my John Mason in Granville County. Are you aware of any missing John Masons in your family group. I noticed that you mentioned your John Mason as a senior. My John would have been born ca 1770/75. His only son was named James, which did not come from his wife's family. I am also researching the following families who I strongly suspect to be of Surry County, Va: WRENN and HAMLIN. I am also searching for a HUDGINS or HUTCHINGS, father of THOMAS HUDGINS and who married LUCY JOHNSON of Surry County, VA. LUCY JOHNSON, was a daughter of Levitor or Leviton JOHNSON of Surry; descendant of MARTIN JOHNSON, MARMADUKE BECKWITH, AND RAPHAEL CREED; all of Surry.
