ROLL CALL: African American Ancestors I am researching the Robert and Sarah Moore family of Isle of Wright, Va. Robert born ,in 1835 in Va. unknown,worked for S. Euges as forman. S Euges is unknown to me, could be a sawmill there in Surry,Va. Sarah Carter, born in 1856 in Va. maybe the dentron area of Surry,Va. Kids were: Mary Elizabeth Moore, she was called Lizzie, born in 1872 Va. unknown ,married John Crawley of Nottoway Co.,Va. John was born in 1871mother 's name Jane. They had (6) kids. The kids were: 1.Louvinia Crawley Smith born in 1905 or 06 ,who married Willie Smith born in 1898 both born in Va. unknown area.Willie's mother name Minnie and father was John Smith. Willie had a brother name John Smith and I understand that he was killed in Surry,VA. in the early 1900's.There were 21 kids born to Louvinia and Willie Smith and some of them were as follows: laura Smith called (lye boy) who married Margaret Thompson, John Andrew Smith who married Ruby Savage,James Smith, Mary and Martha twins, Mary lived and Martha died as infant, Loupearl Smith (MY MOTHER), Eldridge Smith who married Delores,Willie Russell Smith who married Lottie,Edward Smith who was called Snug,Lizzie Smith who married Columbus Twine, there were other kids who died. 2.Leloa Crawley Bowser born in 1920 married Andrew Bowser they had kids. 3.John Robert Crawley born in 1911, had no kids he was called boy blue or little boy. 4.Lucy Crawley born in 1912,she was called betty blue married Mack Warren who I am seeking any family member for his children and grandchildren. 5.Willie Crawley born in 1917,he married a Browser and had two kids one child is still living and the other was Jennie last name unknown to family, I also am seeking Jennie who lived near Tynes trailer or store as I have been told. 6. Virgie Crawley born in 1918, has one child who is living. Note: I now will list the other kids of Robert and Sarah Moore as known to me. 1.Mary Elizabeth Moore Crawley-----was called LIZZIE 2.John Willie Moore 3.Jesse Lee Moore 4.**Sarah Moore *NOTE-- I recently have been given the last **(3) names and trying to 5.**George Moore research them. I understand from the 1900 census of I.O.W. 6**Sam Moore as I have seen the first (3) names there on the census and no other's! The area is Hardy.
