Edmund Bishop was born in Virginia (I believe Surry County) in abt 1801. His father could have been James Bishop. I believe he is connected to Joseph Mason Bishop b abt 1783 in Surry County. Edmund settled in Henderson County, Tennessee where he married Nancy R. Their children include James Franklin, John C., William Marshall, Mary J, Sarah A., Hugh L. W., Charles J., Daniel M., Nancy A., Matilda L., Lydia, and S.M., all born in Henderson County, Tennessee, between 1829 and 1855. I descend from William Marshall Bishop and would like to correspond with anyone knowing anything about Edmund's ancestors or his descendants. Barry Bishop
