I am researching SIMMONS, HUNT, and JONES (abt 1700-1760) William SIMMONS, the son of John and Ann (Possibly JONES) SIMMONS was born about 1725-1730 in VA. He was given land by his God-Father, Henry JONES in 1743 in Edgecumbe Co., NC. William was to let him mother and father John and Ann SIMMONS live on the land. William married about 1750-1755 in Granville Co., NC, Elizabeth HUNT, daughter of Henry and Agnes HUNT. The HUNT's were from Surry Co., VA. Researching the ancestors of John and Ann SIMMONS. My 9th Grandfather Henry Manry bought 110 acres of land down on the Nottaway River in 1726. He married Mary Hogwood in 1730. The property was later in Sussex County and is now in Southampton County.
