    3. Hi List, I wonder if anyone can help me get the will for an Edward JONES who was married to Deborah EXUM. I cannot drive and we have no public transportation. Willing to pay, naturally. Edward died January 27, 1721, Isle of Wight or Surry County, Virginia. I am not sure if the will is in Surry or Isle of Wight. He lived both places and I am not familiar with VA. Maybe they were one county once? If the State Archives for VA or County Archives for Surry has both the typed version and the original, I would prefer the typed as it is easier for me to read. I actual have that Edward died in 1730 but the date is only taken from a book and is suspect, or the 1721 date was the date the Will was written, or it was for his father, Edward who was married to Mary Bressie. If for his father, then that would be ok as I would like that, too, but my concentration is on Edward, married to Deborah Exum. Sue in Florida macduff@infionline.net

    3. Edmund Bishop was born in Virginia (I believe Surry County) in abt 1801. His father could have been James Bishop. I believe he is connected to Joseph Mason Bishop b abt 1783 in Surry County. Edmund settled in Henderson County, Tennessee where he married Nancy R. Their children include James Franklin, John C., William Marshall, Mary J, Sarah A., Hugh L. W., Charles J., Daniel M., Nancy A., Matilda L., Lydia, and S.M., all born in Henderson County, Tennessee, between 1829 and 1855.     3. Most of you are familiar with the UK Census Project, but I notice that many more transcriptions have been added lately. The link at the bottom is to a page with a tool called a Family Data Sheet Estimator. It's based on mathematical models of genealogical records dating back to 1400. These are just estimates and things 'out of the norm' will throw it off. For instance, I was born late in my parents' lives, so when I did a make-up on my mother, her 'first child estimated date' was 16 years before my actual birth; but it was almost scary to see how close it came to my parents' other info and on back to previous generations!
