Looking for the birth and parents of WILLIAM ARTHUR; reported to be in Surry or Albermale Co, 1731. He married Keziah Hargrave in Surry Co(Se was baptized 23 March 1743) about 1752. Had a son Hargrove among others. Can you help with any of this? Peter in Alabama

I found a great search site, the Virginia Heritage Database. It searches the manuscript and archival collections of various Virginia institutions, from about 1607 to the present. Search page: http://ead.lib.virginia.edu/vivaead/cgi-bin/eadform.pl One of the databases that's searched is the Imagebase of the VA Tech Library: http://imagebase.lib.vt.edu/browse.php They have some wonderful collections, if you enjoy vintage photos.
