I don't know the answer to your question about landowners on Acquia Creek. What time period. The Antient Press (Ruth and Sam Sparacio) have abstracted/transcribed many early records of Stafford Co. and from those you can get an idea of who owned what. Website: antientpress.com John Simpson the Scotsman owned land on Acquia Creek in the late 1600s. I cannot tell you the exact date. Hope you can access the Stafford Co. records done by the Sparacios. Also for a later period I believe Richard Slatten (Iberian Press) did some landowner lists. Check the family history library catalog on www.familysearch.org Gertrude E. Gray has done four books of Northern Neck land grants, but the creeks and other watercourses are NOT indexed. These books are sold by Genealogical Publishing Co. Peggy Shomo Joyner has abstracted some warrants and surveys (which precede the land grants) for Northern Neck--many volumes. Either type in Slatten's name as author (also Gray and Joyner), or type in Stafford Co. and then look for land records. At least you will know such publications exist, even if they are not in a genealogical library near you. E.W.Wallace southern California
