Hi, I'm looking for information on some Alexanders who were living in Stafford County and appear on the 1840 and 1850 census. Is this one family? Does anyone know the lineage and names of the children? 1840 Stafford Co. VA John Alexander (pg. 203) - 1 male 10-15; 1 male 40-50; 2 females 5-10; 1 female 30-40 Marian Alexander (pg. 183) - 2 males 20-30; 1 male 30-40; 1 female 15-20; 1 female 20-30; ......1 female 50-60; 1 female 60-70. Sarah Alexander (pg. 193) - 2 males 20-30; 1 female 50-60; 1 female 60-70. Lucy Alexander (pg. 180) - 2 males 20-30; 1 male 30-40; 2 females 20-30; 2 females 30-40; .....1 female 50-0. The three ladies' households had adults living with them - probably sons and/or daughters and spouses. 1850 Stafford John Alexander (pg. 6) - age 46 (living alone) John Alexander (pg. 23) - age 24; Ann age 21, William age 23, Mary age 17, Janet age 16. Lucy Alexander (pg. 20) - age 67; Sarah age 42; Elizabeth age 35; Richard age 39. Lawrence Alexander (pg. 29) - age 64; Eliza age 50. There was a Lawrence Alexander in Prince William Co. in 1840, age between 50-60, but not there in 1850 - may be the same fellow. Thanks for any assistance, Jan Melton

Please let me know if there is more information that I can possibly provide.
