Although this is not my family, I was able to find some answers for Lorri online. I did not find either in the Social Security Death Index at familytreemaker.com. Possibly Grafton was a farmer, and many farmers were not covered by Social Security until the 1950s or even later. I did find Grafton in the 1910 and 1920 censuses, which will give you an idea of his age. A transcription of the 1910 census at http://www.rootsweb.com/~vastaffo/census/1910/1910censupg129.htm Transcribed by Carl & Mildred Musselman, prepared for the web by Kristy Williams -- shows Page 129, sh.6a-S.D.8, E.D.102 - Aquia, south of Aquia Run-27 April 1910 113 - Raines, Ellis R. The transcriptions are not 100% complete, but they are quite helpful. And there is a lot of other information, too, and the site owner welcomes additional contributions.
