John Lewis of Prince George County MD, Stafford County VA, Prince William County VA, was the son of John and Elizabeth (Houser) Lewis of Prince George's County MD; he removed to Stafford County VA and is still spoken of as owner of tract 14 February 1742; [dead 1744]; will proven 30 September ----- Stafford County VA; his brothers Thomas and Stephen Lewis were prominent landowners along Difficult Run in Fairfax County VA Standard family accounts, including Michael Lewis' Pioneer Lewis Families, give John two sons: 1. John Lewis of Loudoun County VA; born 1725; married Elizabeth Hickman, daughter of Joshua Hickman 2. Thomas Lewis of Loudoun County VA; born 1720; married Anne Hickman, daughter of William and Jane (Hopkins) Hickman What solid evidence is there that these men were John's sons?
