Unsigned query of <Nmfstone@aol.com>; 2 Aug 2001 Re: Josias Stone Sr. [aka Joseph Stone Sr.] I would assume that the location of this land could be located in one of the deed book transcriptions by the Sparacio's. If you haven't already done so, you will find info on this family in "Stone-Ratcliff Families of Maryland, Virginia & Kentucky." [sorry, I don't have the compiler or date of publication - just abstracts. This was pub. many years ago.] Although I don't put much stock in family charts found on the Internet, you MAY find something of interest on: ____________________ !FAMILY: See undocumented STONE family chart [Josias Stone] on internet page [www.weir.net/~dbollsch/index.html]; by Diane Bollschweiler, Wellsburg, WV; <boshy@weir.net>; 1997. ____________________ I don't have him included as one of the children of JOSIAS SR., but I also have the Rev. War military and pension file of William Stone, b c1756, Stafford Co., VA and who d c1829/30, in Stafford Co. His wife was noted as "Mary Stone," a resident of Harrison Co., KY in 1839. I am not a STONE descendant. My connection: Archibald Tackett, c1775/80, of Prince Wm. Co., marr. MARY STONE, b c1784, on May 1806 in Prince Wm. Co., VA. I've not proved Mary Stone's ancestry. This family later settled in Bath Co., KY and then the widow, Mary Stone Tackett, moved to Menard Co., IL. If you wish to privatley send me your name & address, I will send you a brochure detailing our numerous maps. Jim W.
