As far as I know,this is my line : My daddy-Gene Francis Shelton [17sept1927-5june1983]m Jo Ann Keller granpa-Hugh Calvin Shelton [1jan1894-29aug1934]m Mary Sullivan[who remarried to Bolie Hartley] ggranpa-Basil Shelton [1878-1898]m Mary Elizabeth Shelton[who remarried to Frank Bowie] gggranpa-George Wellington Shelton m Mariah Perry ggggranpa-George Gustavus Shelton m Lucinda Pates gggggrandpa Edward Shelton m Nancy[Ann] UNKNOWN[Stafford Co constable] ggggggranpa William Shelton Jr m Margaret Nelson gggggggranpa William Shelton Sr m Abigal Grey[Gray] This info was given to me by Bill Deyo in Colonial Beach who is related thru both the Shelton and Sullivan sides.I have only been able to document as far back as Basil.I showed this list to my Aunt Jane Thompson[daddy's sister] and she said it was correct.All these men lived and died in Stafford County.Its like the ark stopped on the Rappahanock River in Fredericksburg and the Sheltons and Sullivans got off and started to multiply! I did hear from someone that a Shelton did escape Stafford County :) and moved west but he was a gg [or more g's] uncle to me.I would appreciate dates to go along with these names if you know them and any other info you can give.
