He married Louisa A. b. 1822 and d. 1911 They are buriedat the Aquia church in Stafford and I need to know who thier children were and who they married. The age given does not match the information above, but Louisa may be the Louisa A. SNEAD [sic] listed in the 1910 census of Stafford County at http://us-gen.com/va/stafford/census/1910/1910censupg127.htm The Stafford County website does not seem to have much additional information about this family, but there are some other SNEADs on the same page who may be related. I did not search their names, as this is not one of my families. But I do highly recommend the Stafford County website to ANYONE researching Stafford County families: http://us-gen.com/va/stafford/ Also, as the note at the bottom of the posting says, one can search this list's archived messages. http://searches.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/listsearch.pl I do not know whether the Louisa listed in the 1910 census of Stafford County is "your" Louisa. She appears to have been born around 1835. I think she is this woman, already a widow and living in Fluvanna County (from the LDS transcription of the 1880 census): Census Place: Columbia, Fluvanna, Virginia Source: FHL Film 1255365 National Archives Film T9-1365 Page 410C Relation Sex Marr Race Age Birthplace Louisa SNEED Self F W W 45 VA Occ: Farming Fa: VA Mo: VA Lucy SNEED Dau F S W 27 VA Occ: Teaching School Fa: VA Mo: VA Emily SNEED Dau F S W 21 VA Occ: At Home Fa: VA Mo: VA Rosa SNEED Dau F S W 20 VA Occ: At Home Fa: VA Mo: VA William SNEED Son M S W 16 VA Occ: At School Fa: VA Mo: VA If that is "your" Louisa, the family may have lived mostly in Fluvanna Co rather than Stafford County. P.S. The Stafford County site's list of people buried at Aquia Episcopal Church says Louisa A. Sneed was born in 1833. http://us-gen.com/va/stafford/cemeteries/aquiaepiscem.htm Perhaps the stone was hard to read. Good luck in your search. Laura
