    1. Re: [VASTAFFO-L] John Williams
    2. John Williams was my first Williams ancestor in colonies. Came in 1670 his dau m Thomas Trammell in England. They had a son John Trammell who suppossedly inherited land from John Williams. Is there a record of this? I also read on the net that there was a law in VA that children named after relatives inherited from them. Do you know anything about that? Any information appreciated. Thanks. Linda I know all about the Trammells, but I don't know much about the Williams, though there are a lot of inter-marriages between these families and they seem to have followed the same migration patterns. My next known connection in my direct line, Nat Williams m Fanny Snodgrass in Tn came to Navarro Co, TX by 1820. Their daughter Margaret Lucretia m Jonathan Franklin Trammell. These are my gggrandparents. God bless you, for your thoughtfulness and time. Linda
