Debbi Shelton and Troy W. Bowie: The second child of Henry Milstead and Sally Fendall Bell Milstead is J. Shelton Milstead born in November 28, 1851 in Prince William County, VA. At that time I think they lived on the north side of Chopawamsic (sp?) Creek across from Stafford County. J. Shelton died on August 2, 1939 and is buried in Pohick Church grave1-G-4. Given the usual practice of given a last name of relatives as a middle name in later generations, I assume he is related to your Sheltons. In the same way, my mother's middle name was Bell, after Sally Fendall Bell, her great grandmother. Sally was a child of Jane Adie and John Fendall Bell.
