She was Past National Chairman, DAR Patriot Index, Daughters of the American Revolution; Managing Editor Centennial Edition DAR Patriot Index; Real Granddaughter, United Daughters of the Confederacy and a member, National League of American Pen Women. Mrs. Gilreath was the author of 26 books on Genealogy Research. Survivors include her loving husband of 44 years, Stanley N. Gilreath; two sons, John Stephen Gilreath and James Richard Gilreath; one sister, Jane Cleland Collins; and one brother, Franklin Edison Cleland.
