I believe I know where Pine Forge was near New Market but it doesn't make a lot of sense that people from that area would be involved in a census in Front Royal. Quite a distance even over the mountain. In both of our cases our individuals lived just South of Front Royal. Just curious why they would call it the Pine Forge Distict on the 1820 census. Obviously, the same person did the census for the area caled "Pine forge District". Since the enumerators were obviously asigned certain named districts, i.e. Shenandoah, Luray, Pine Forge, etc. sems like there would be a record some place as to the oficial localities of the named districts.
