Yup. James Kendell turned in his tax list on April 15. He had two tithables and 1 horse. Does anyone remember what year the tax lists began?? I'm interested in finding Matthias Beaver before 1787. In 1787 he was in Rockingham Co., VA, abt. 1 mile west of Tenth Legion. Before, possibly in 1784 I was told he was on the Shenandoah Co., VA tax list with 6 members in his family. Does anyone have easy access to these years? Marc Archer in Flint, MI
