WOODSTOCK A 250TH ANNIVERSARY COMMEMORATIVE PROGRAM AND HISTORICAL BOOKLET by Lena Fuller and Betty Page, page 13: "The Indian Road started in New York State and came through the Valley of Virginia on its way to North Carolina. This was a path, just wide enough for wagons to travel single file. Next came the Great Waggon Road following closely on the former trail. In February of 1742 or 1743 the Orange County, VA.
