There is a James and a Charles Collins below for the year 1827. Are these, perhaps, the children of Jeffery Collins? (b. 1756) From Joan Hackett, I have a James listed as a son; but not a Charles. In a court proceeding, he says his birth is recorded in the Bible of "Old man Russell". (Bible said to be with David Russell in Ohio.) I'm very interested in him because we have wondered if there is a family connection which we haven't yet found.
