    3. Vicki: The bond for Richard's marriage was executed on 25 July. His marriage took place the following day, 26 July, and was performed by Anderson Moffett. In the marriage register, Susannah's name is spelled "Newland." [Shenandoah County Marriage Register, 1781-1850, p. 31] There are no probate records or deeds in Shenandoah or Frederick County for Richard. Richard appears in the Shenandoah County personal property tax lists only in 1786 and 1791 and not at all in Frederick County. These are contemporaries of Richard. I haven't found anything to demonstrate relationship, except between Rachel and Ann and between John and Samuel. RACHEL WEAKS 1 February 1778 indentured her daughter ANN WEAKS to James and Hannah Sidwell to learn the art of housewifery SAMUEL WEEKS 1783 purchased property in Frederick Co. 1784 married Elizabeth Ireson in Fred Co 1788, 1790-91 in personal property tax lists Fred Co 1793 sold land in Fred Co; wife Elizabeth 1786, 1795-1800, 1802-4 in personal property tax lists, Shen Co 1802 served on jury, Shen Co 1811 Samuel and brother JOHN WEEKS were sued by Philip Snap in Fred Co Superior Court over land sold in 1799 to Snap, but for which they had provided no deed 1816 Elizabeth died in Shenadoah County [I _assume_ this was wife of Samuel]; three heirs; no husband mentioned. JOHN WEEKS 1796-97 Frederick Co personal property tax list , 2 taxables each year 1798 sold land in Frederick Co that he had patented in 1796; wife Elizabeth 1799 Shenandoah Co personal property tax lists, 3 taxables 1811 John and brother SAMUEL WEEKS were sued by Philip Snap in Fred Co Superior Court over land sold in 1799; John had left the county 1814 John, in Rockbridge Co., deposed in Snap suit There were several younger Weeks in Shenandoah County, including my wife's ancestor SAMUEL, b. 1790s, d. Oct-Nov 1834. If any of this is useful to you and you'd like the citations for the sources, email me directly. He married Susannah Newlin 25 July 1791 Shenandoah Co., Virginia. They had 3 children that I know of. Nathan Weeks ( this is my line) born 28 May 1792, Virginia. Nathan married 1,Susannah, 2,Barbara Kerfman/Korfman/Curfman. He died in 1868 Allen twp., Hancock Co., Ohio. David Weeks born 1794, Virginia. He married Susannah Beaver, 23 May 1819 Lancaster, Fairfield Co., Ohio. Wesley Weeks born 1798, Virginia he married Julia A. I did find a paper, some court document, Harnett vs. Moore. They mention Richard and Susannah in New Lancaster, Fairfield Co., Ohio 1810. I was wondering if there are any census records for 1800, tax records or land records for the late 1700's or early 1800's. Any help I can get would be great. Thanks for taking the time to read this.
