My ancestor, Reuben Corder b. abt. 1818, became the ward of Martin and Elizabeth (Corder) Pence in Champaign County, OH in 1830. Martin and Elizabeth m. in Shenandoah County in 1812. This John could be Reuben Corder's brother. Perhaps Reuben was named after Reuben Jennings. Then again, this John may belong to a Corder family from Culpeper, some of whom moved to PA and Hampshire County, VA.
