    3. Louise, The Redwell-Isabella Furnace was located in Page County near Luray. It is believed that the furnace was first called the Redwell Furnace developed by Dirck Pennybacker. In 1811 the name was changed to Isabella, believed to have been named after one of Benjamin Blackford's three daughters. A more complete history of this furnace is featured in this weeks issue of "The Page News and Courier" with a vision for developing it into a historic park. Several of the area's historians including Rod Graves, Joe Davis, Gary Bauserman and Charles Ballard are attempting to start a nonprofit organization under the wing of the Page County Heritage Association to revive the site. For more information you may contact Rod Graves at 540-743-6551, ext. 226 or 540-743-1804. Kyle
