Don, A couple of years ago I looked at Family History Library's film - FHL US/CAN Film 1548900 - Virginia, Shenandoah - Poorhouses, etc. A short description is found here: http://www.familysearch.org/Eng/Library/fhlcatalog/supermainframeset.asp?display=titledetails&columns=*%2C180%2C0&titleno=433698&disp=Alms_house_records%2C_1800-1899 As I remember it contained on a list of residents and log on purchases made by the Poorhouse from area farmers and merchants, etc. It was an interesting read because it listed supplies purchased and prices paid and named many area residents of the time. I don't recall the commissioners being named but it's possible that they are included. John
