Can anyone help me. I would like to find the birth of a Jacob Dulciver/dillsaver/dilsaver/dilshaver born 1784 in Shenandoah County, VA. His parents were from Maryland and they were members of the Lutheran Evangelical Church. Do anyone have church records or such so you could help me. Thank you Jo Ann in Kansas

Hi Jo Ann, A quick check of the Lutheran Church records do not show a birth/baptism for a Jacob Dilshaffer/Dilsheffer. The Dilshaver/ Smith families lived east of Strasburg towards what is now Warren County, VA. In what we call the Waterlick area at north end of Fort Valley. Or even into Page County area from Warren County towards Luray, Route 340 today. George had a large household of 11 soles in 1785. Were some of them Smith? Tax records will probably tell if he paid tax for them. Lena
