In my quest for Riffey information I found a will in the VA archives (Prince William Co) with the spelling of Rifey. However when I received the film, the name appeared to be Rixey. I know that there were some Rixeys in Culpeper and Shenandoah Co.'s. in the 1700's but my question is: is anyone aware of how the "f" was written in that time period? A name change in the spelling?
