I wish I could, but that is all I know about his life in Shenandoah Co. He moved to Athens Co., OH in 1835 and married there in 1836. He died of illness as a soldier in the Civil War. I believe John had a brother named Isaac, but their relationship is circumstantial. Actually, I'm descended from Isaac, but I could not find an obit for him. All indications are that John and Isaac were brothers, or perhaps cousins. Since John's obit had his birthdate and place of birth listed, he seemed the most likely candidate for research and identification. Do you have any information about the Williams families of Shenandoah Co.? Or do you know of the location of any birth records? It was my hope that someone who is researching a Williams families of Shenandoah would recognize the birthdate or approximate birthdate of someone in their databases.
