Good evening, The marriage record of William Corder m. to Cathrine Philips simply stated that the marriage was registered--no witnesses. The ShenCo marriage bonds for 1809 seem to have vanished. So now, I want to see if I can find any church records on this couple. The VA Genealogist listed Rev. Henkels marriages in Vol. 17. Can anyone tell me what church Rev. The marriage occurred on Friday, August 4, 1809 (pages 173, 296)--a list of marriages by Paul Henkel is in an appendix in the newly published book: The Autobiography and Chronological Life of Reverend Paul Henkel (1754-1825" From the Unpublished Manuscripts. . .Translated from Original Sources by Reverend William J. Finck, edited by Melvin L. Miller and Published by Reverend Anthony Jacob Henckel Family National Association, Inc. 2002 He ministered to different churches in Shenandoah, Page, Rockingham, Augusta Counties as well as Piedmont NC and Point Pleasant on the Ohio River.
