I am looking for information on the family of William & Catharine RODGERS of Shenandoah County. William RODGERS was born ca 1718 and came into the valley about 1745. William RODGERS has a deed dated 25 Oct 1750 for 216 acres involved in the Lord Fairfax Suit in 1754. William RODGERS in 1770 is located on North River of the Shenandoah called Elk bottom the bottom above Sassafras bottom. Would anyone know where this is located on a modern map of Shenandoah County? There is an Edward RODGERS born ca 1711 living on land on Blue Ridge as early as 1737 and he is also mentioned in the Lord Fairfax Suit in 1763. Also, would anyone know where the location of the North Fork River in Powells Fort is located? Is the North Passage in the same area? William RODGERS sold this 216 acres to John BUSHONG in 1778. I would like to find the location of this property as well as the family of William and Catharine RODGERS/ROGERS. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Chocy
