In 1752 George Henry and wife Debora Borden purchased 300 acres in Frederick Co. (now Shenandoah) from Benjamin Borden, Debora's brother - Augusta Co. records. Debora is mentioned in her father's will in 1742 as unmarried and was apparently still unmarried in 1746 when the Worthington's brought a case against the Borden estate (recorded in Augusta Co.) and named Debora Borden as one of the beneficiaries of the estate or else they simply didn't know she had married. Nevertheless, George and Debora must have married sometime between 1742 and the time they bought the property (1752). I would like to find out more about this family. Does anyone know where I may find a marriage record? I believe they actually continued to live in the area as the book of the Scots-Irish goes on to state that by 1802 Debora Henry too was deceased. Anyone that has any info on a George Henry in Shenandoah between 1752 and 1810, please let me know. Thanks. Diane
