Steve and Bunny, That's the Number of the Captain, corresponding presumably to the company of militia, i.e., George Fravel was Captain No. 6 and I assume he was therefore Captain of the 6th militia company of the 13th Regiment. The number of studs was likely just a typo since there is a column later on for that enumeration.
