    1. [VASHENAN] Wife of Jacob Burner, Jr.
    2. I am seeking the surname and parents of ANNE/ANNY/ANNA, the wife of JACOB BURNER, JR. He was the son of JACOB BURNER, SR., and one of the daughters of JOHN (HANS) BUMGARDNER. Their children were Abraham, Isaac, Catharine and Barbary. Jacob, Jr., owned and presumably lived on land on the south side of the North Shenandoah River in Shenandoah County, VA. Jacob Burner, Jr., died in early 1782 and widow Anne/Anny/Anna married THOMAS TUCKWILLER, Oct. 20, 1788 (bond), Shenandoah County. Their children were John and Mary (married Charles Weaver). Thomas Tuckwiller owned land and lived on Dry Run, near the Blue Ridge, in the part of Shenandoah County that became part of present-day Page County, VA, when the latter county was formed. A correspondent reports there is an item in a BERRY Family History Book (neither exact title nor author given) which states ANNY LIVINGOOD STRICKLER, probably daughter of JACOB STRICKLER, was the wife of Jacob Burner, Jr. Is anyone familiar with this Berry Book or has further information that gives credence to this report that she was the wife of Jacob Burner, Jr. SPECIAL NOTE: The information that Anny Livingood Strickler was the wife of Jacob Burner, Jr., is preliminary and at this time lacks proof. Therefore, please do not pass this information along to others as a fact. Joe Baker
