    1. [VASHENAN] Shenandoah County Heritage Day, 2004
    2. Hello all, It is a balmy 12 degrees in the northern Shenandoah Valley today! So those of us who live here in the Valley are thinking of Spring either consciously or subconsciously. With thoughts of the coming Spring, a reminder that on Saturday, April 10, from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m., in Edinburg, VA, we will be holding the Second Annual Shenandoah County Heritage Day. Last year's event was a great success and we hope to make this years Heritage Day en even bigger event. We will feature the Fort Valley area this year, with photos of schools and students of years past and cemetery lists on display for your research purposes. There may also be a few other surprises that will be announced as the date gets closer. Once we get a solid list of exhibitors booked, the information will be posted on the Shenandoah County GenWeb site and, of course, you will also get it right here on the list. If anyone is interested in displaying their information, please contact me at <dsilvius1@earthlink.net> for details. This is also an opportunity to thank those who helped make this second annual event possible - and you see their names here often - Lena Fuller, Linda Varney, Jan & Sonny Hood, Jim Artz, and the archivist at the Shenandoah County Library, Jean Martin. Hope to see you all on April 10 in Edinburg.
