    3. The Rev Stirewalt that served the Stoney Man Parish in Page County (Mt. Calvary Lutheran, Morning Star and Grace Lutheran churches) was Rev. J. N. Stirewalt. He was a brother to J.P.(Jerome Paul) Stirewalt. John N. Stirewalt died in 1907 at the age of 62. Jerome and John's father, Jacob, was also a minister, as well as two uncles. More information can be found on the Stirewalt family of ministers at the Rockingham County Historical Society, Dayton, Virginia, in the unpublished and undated manuscripts of Rev. J. Paul Stirewalt. Perhaps J.W. Stirewalt was one of the uncles? -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Richard A. I guess, if the good Rev. had recently gone to Luray, then a bride from Timberville (who had attended Rader's Church) might "motor" to where her long-time minister was - Luray? - to be married by him. I am going to have to dig the clipping out again and examine it much more closely. This was a 1918 wedding. Would that fit Rev. Stirewalt's presence in Luray? Thanks again. Richard A.
