Sure. JOHN PENCE was born 4 Jan 1780 in Shenandoah County, Virginia; died 26 Oct 1848 in Shenandoah County, buried in Solomon Church Cemetery, Forestville, Shenandoah County; married Sarah Branner (Brenner) 1 Apr 1806 (bond date) in Shenandoah County (she was born 20 Jun 1786, died 26 Jun 1865, buried in Solomon Church Cemetery, the daughter of John Branner and Catherine Harpine). You can find the family of John and that of his fatehr, Conrad Pence, at my web site, Pence Family History: www.pipeline.com/~richardpence/gensum1.htm The daughter Catherine did mary John Peters and her vitals are given under John's family. There stones read: John Pence 4 JAN 1780 - 26 OCT 1848 68-9-22 Consort of Sarah Pence Late Sarah Brenner Sarah JU 1786 - 26 JU 1865 79 YRS Relict of John Pence "Consort of Sarah Pence" on John's stone means that she survives him. "Relict of John Pence" means she was the widow of John Pence at her death. R.A.P.
Glad to see my 2 great grandfather, John Peters, mentioned. John was married 3 times and Catherine Pence was his 1st wife, married 1835. I have lots of info about their children if needed. My 2 great grandmother was John's second wife, Mary Ann Lloyd. His third wife was Sarah Mowery. Carole ----- Original Message ----- From: "Richard A.
