    2. Hi Vashenan Subscribers, We have another question for you. Does anyone out there know who founded Quicksburg? Did Tunis Quick have anything to do with it or live any where near there? 2. CA HACKER
    3. Shenandoah County Gazatteer Quicksburg This place was born on a farm owned by William Quick (1816 - 1879), a justice of the peace and local promoter of the village built on his donated land. The exact date of its founding is not known but it is documented that the site had a post office by 1872 under the name of "Forest Station". In 1877 the name became Quicksburgh and later in 1892 it was formally changed to Quicksburg in honor of the original land donor. Maybe Tunis was related to William Quick??????
