Shenandoah County Virginia Deed Book B Pages 8-9 20 April 1774 This Indenture made the Twentieth Day of April in the Year of our Lord One thousand Seven hundred and Seventy four BETWEEN Abraham Brubaker of the County of Dunmore and Barbara his wife of the one part and Bura Harrison, Joseph Pugh, Francis Slaughter, Henry Nelson, Abraham Keller, John Tipton, Jonathan Langdon, Abraham Bowman, George Ruddle, and Jacob Holeman. Gentlemen Justices and their successors in office on Behalf of the said County of Dunmore to and for the use and purpose of Executing a Courthouse, County Jayl. and other publick Buildings for the said county, and to and for no other purpose whatsoever those two Lotts or parcells of land Containing half an acre each known and distinguished by Lots No. 80 and No. 81 in the plann of the said Town of Woodstock and bounded by the Main Street on the Front and by the Lott No. 79 one side and by Lott No. 82 on the other side and by the Lotts No. 48 and No. 49, on the Back and all Houses Buildings Easements Commodities Hereditaments and appurtenances to the said Lots of Land and premises belonging or to any part thereof in anywise appertaining and the Reversion and Reversions Remainder and Remainders Rents Issues and profits thereof and also all the Estate Right.     3. Hi Sam, I don't know if Mr. Slaughter still likes to poke around in genealogy. I think I told you the oldest record I found for one of the northern counties of VA I was looking at years ago had a land record for a Slaughter.
