    3. I am a Surber researcher, but have the following from the Shenandoah Co., VA Deed Book U & V 1813-1815 as abstracted by Amelia Gilreath in 1993: From a deed found in Bk U, p. 158--June 5, 1813 Between Leonard Lonas Sr of County of Shenandoah to Leonard Lones Junior/ son of said Leonard Lones Senior.... Leonard Jr is then to pay George Lones, John Lones, Jacob Lones, daughter Magdalene Kile, Barbara Surber, Christine Feister, daughter Eve Lones each $20. (these appear to be the other children of Leonard Lones/Lonas and his wife, Catherine). Description of the land: 279 acres lying on both side of Ryals run, a branch of Stoney Creek, from the Corner to Survey made for Henry Spoor, ten poles from Matthias Sibeys corner which was granted to Lenoard Lones Senior by patent the 9th of June 1788. Signed in German and witnessed by Jacob Rinker. Rosina Dellinger, d/o Christian Dellinger and Mary Magdalene who owned land on Stoney Creek. Could this be the father of the George who m. Barbara Helsley in 1795? My ancestor John Surber m. Margaret Lonas in 1793. She was reportedly the d/o Leonard and Catherine Lonas. The Surbers also lived along Stoney Creek. Could Margaret be say a sister or cousin to this George? Are there Lonas researchers who know about Leonard and Catherine Lonas and how they might be related to these families?
