    3. Cathy, from beautiful Marin Co I have some information on Samuel parrot but nothing on his brothers for Abstracts of executor etc. I am working on a scrapbook for my grandchildren on the Parrett family starting with Frederick in Shenandoah Co. http://www.esnips.com/web/PARRETTChapter1FirstGeneration I still have lots to do but it is a labor of love Marcia Loudon [email protected] On Jul 12, 2007, at 6:13 PM, [email protected] wrote: > The 1787 militia for Rockingham Co., Company 17 > Joseph Parrot > Samuel Parrot > > Personal property tax list 1787 > Joseph Parrot, self (charged with tax), 3 horses, 10 cattle > Samuel Parrot, self (charged with tax), 2 horses, 7 cattle > > The above is from the booklet by Schreiner-Yantis and Love. > > I also have a booklet of Abstracts of executor, administrator and > guardian > bonds of > Rockingham Co. 1778-1864. 3. As another Parrott descendant, I have been reading with great interest the various posts. Thanks to all of you for the work you have done. The whole south central Ohio area where I grew up (Highland, Clinton, Southern Fayette and Western Ross Counties in particular), and where the Parrotts and Bushongs settled, was heavily populated with Shenandoah Valley Germans as well as a number of Germanna Colony Germans in the early 1800's. It's probably another good place to mark on the map as a Shenandoah Valley descendant hotspot. I have communicated with Marcia before, but have not seen her scrapbook pages until now. Marcia, your work is outstanding!!!! It is a beautiful piece, and with wonderful journaling. I trained myself in scrapping just for the purpose of showing family history in an interesting way, but you have given me so many wonderful ideas. Very creative. I hope everyone takes a look at it. Very worthwhile. Again, thanks so much to all of you. 3. Jean it has been awhile since we have connected. Thank you for your comments. I have a little Yahoo group of ladies and we all are digital scrappers and also interested in genealogy. We are a private group so our work is not available to all on the internet. I am still working on Samuel Sr. I only touched on Fayette Co and Ross Co as a location for the Parrett in the book but have much in my files. If you are a Parrett look at one of the Fayette Co sites I think about a family reunion in about 1880. David Parret had a clipping of it and I posted it to a site. Google might find it for you. I am babysitting this week for grandchildren so not home with all my urls at the moment.
