Good morning Vashenan Listmates, It is a beautiful primary election morning here in Florida. We are putting together a cookbook to be sold at the New Market Battlefield. Many of you have Bushong ancestors somewhere in your ancestry or close family associations to the Bushong family. We are asking that if you have any old family recipes probably handed down from one generation to the next, could you please share them for the cookbook? We having been talking about this dream since 2000 so we are determined to get it off of the ground. We already have 38 recipes but need many more to form a cookbook. We are requesting that you submit the recipes to the following address. Be sure that you include how you fit into the Bushong family and even if it is not a direct line descendancy you may have some association with the family and that is okay too. Be sure to include your name, address and phone number in case there is a question about the recipe and any history of the recipe. Your name but not your address and phone will be included with the recipe in the cookbook. Hopefully we will get this published and have it available at the Bushong Reunion in October in New Market, Virginia at the Battlefield Museum Gift Shop. It will also be available after that Reunion at the Battlefield.
